Thanks, Katy, for sharing this article. I, too, took away a lot from what Christine said. Getting over the fear of being an expert is one of them. Now, I'm not the guru of new media - and I really don't consider myself an EXPERT! However, I do know more than most and in the eyes of some, I AM the expert - and I once read that an expert is not a person who knows everything - but the person who knows how to find the answers! And that's me!

Follow up is huge. I have a friend who hosted a workshop. She had 15 people who said they would attend. So, my friend prepared folders with handouts for 15. The day of the workshop - only 2 showed up. Why? She didn't follow up. No reminder calls or emails - nothing. Well, she won't let that happen again!

I love the idea that we don't always end up doing what we set out or planned to do. I know that's how I got where I am. And that's the fun side of being an "accidental entrepreneur", looking back and realizing that things might not have turned out exactly as planned, but it's still a damn great life.

Yes, it happened site wide which was what prompted me to set up this series of posts. I just posted a great video that can walk you through most of this on my Success for Solopreneurs Fan Page and I'll be reposting it here in a couple of minutes.

Seems their subtlety or not so subtlety encouraging people to be more open in the transparent, social vein of social networking. Not everyone is happy about this.

I had my "recent activity" hidden for some time. But then, it starts to appear again. Since like.. yesterday (maybe).

I went to Settings > Privacy Settings ...
I only presented with:
Profile Information
Contact Information
Application and Websites
Search
Block List

No more Settings > Privacy Settings > News Feed and Wall
WTF?!

Well said, Katy. But though we do not need more time to decide (in the absence of getting additional inf), we often need more time to create. Blog posts, books, vlogs, etc. Time WILL help us in that case.
