10 New Privacy Settings Every Facebook User Should Know

facebookLogo2I just posted a link to a great video that can walk you through the whole Facebook privacy settings thing on my Success for Solopreneurs Fan Page.  I figured it was too useful to post here as well (since many of my readers don’t also read my fan page).

So…if you have any questions about your Facebook privacy settings (not for fan pages, but for your personal profile), I suggest you take a moment and head on over to AllFacebook.com and watch their great video.  Their examples will help you to see why you might want to change some settings to private (or why you might not want to).  And it’s just over 4 minutes, so it won’t take a lot of time to follow along AND change your settings.

Personally, I leave my settings pretty public.  Everything isn’t 100% public, but it’s at least “friends of friends” public and searchable via the search engines.

My theory…it’s called SOCIAL networking for a reason.  It’s all about socializing, sharing and interacting with others.  If you’re not certain about going public with your life, then social networking and social media might not be for you.
