Hi, my name is Katy and I’m addicting to educating myself.
Yes, it’s true, I’m one of those lifelong learners you hear about. If I’m not reading a business book, I’m listening to a teleseminar. If I’m not listening to a teleseminar, I’m reading blogs. And all the while, I’m coveting various live, in person, events.
Now that I’m also teaching at UCLA, I also get to audit one class a semester. Believe it or not, I think I’m going to hold off on this one perk. I don’t want to be overwhelmed with homework and papers while still working on getting more clients and more speaking gigs.
How do you continue to expand yourself and your business? I challenge you to sign up for at least one teleseminar this week. There are plenty of free ones out there that preview upcoming classes. To let you in on a little secret…if you listen carefully enough, and the expert/leader is any good at what they do, you’ll walk away with plenty of useful tips.
So go ahead…sign up for a teleclass or webinar, pick up a business book, read some blogs written by an expert in your niche market or stop by a local networking event of class (Craig’s List and MeetUp are good resources for finding new groups or local events). I double dog dare ya!
You never know what you might learn!
