I need more time
First rule of decision making: More time does not create better decisions.
In fact, it usually decreases the quality of the decision.
More information may help. More time without more information just creates anxiety, not insight.
Deciding now frees up your most valuable asset, time, so you can go work on something else. What happens if, starting today, you make every decision as soon as you have a reasonable amount of data?
Once again, Seth Godin puts us in our place and calls it like it is. I mean, let’s face it, “I need more time” is really just an excuse enabling us to put things off for just a little longer.
Let’s call it what it is…fear.
As Havi at Fluent Self explains “…when we really care about our dreams we run away from them in panic and terror.” So no, more time won’t make a difference. It won’t save us. It won’t make things better.
As Nike tells us…Just do it. Today.

Well said, Katy. But though we do not need more time to decide (in the absence of getting additional inf), we often need more time to create. Blog posts, books, vlogs, etc. Time WILL help us in that case.
