Last night I was lucky enough to hear three local LA women talk about their businesses: Candace Nelson, the founder of Sprinkles Cupcakes; Amanda Kennedy, the founder of Sassybax; and Wanda Wen, the founder of Soolip . These women were amazing to listen to. They told about how they started their businesses, how they grew their businesses and how they utilize social media. Yours truly was able to explain to Ms. Wen about how social media tools like Twitter and Facebook can benefit your brand and your business.
Whenever I get the privilege of being able to listen to smart women talking about their businesses, I leave feeling so motivated and pumped up. I think it’s why there’s a part of me that so ready to start interviewing some smart and sassy entrepreneurial women myself.
Next month, I’ll also be attending the 7th Annual Women’s Small Business Expo here in LA. Once agian, I’m really looking forward to getting in and playing around in that energy. I’m also looking forward to hearing Taryn Rose, keynote speaker talk about selling her business. They say that every successful business should have an exit plan, but this will be the first time I’ll be hearing someone address it.
The Women’s Small Business Expo is going to be an all day event. Why don’t you join me there?
