Who wouldn’t want free books or eBooks?
How about 20 free eBooks?
If you happen to read my regular blog, you would know that I’m quite overwhelmed by books right about now. But that doesn’t stop me from downloading and devouring eBooks in my spare (ha!) time. I find that I like to collect them, so to speak. Don’t get me wrong, I read them (or most of them anyway) – the ones I don’t read, are at least printed out ready to be read (and many of the eBooks I read, I actually purchase).
But to be honest, ebooks can be a great way to get some good information. The best part, they’re usually in a much more casual tone, in less-techy terms (much like blogs) and tend to be smaller or more manageable in size. They’re perfect to take with you in the car to read when you have downtime (here in LA you have to allow plenty of time for traffic and if all goes well, you’re early and need something to read while you wait) or anywhere where you might be waiting around, like a doctor’s office.
They’re also a great way to learn how to write a book. I don’t know about you, but I’ve got a couple ideas of my own that I’d like to get down in an eBook. Following this train of thought, I’m looking to others as a model to see just how it’s done. I’m looking to see how they design the page, how they break things down and just well, how they do what they do.
Chris Brogan has compilied a list of these 20 free books on a variety of topics all focusing on social media (thank you Daily Blog Tips for reposting the list). The topics cover everything from Twitter to blogging to podcasting and viral marketing. Just the sort of thing a solopreneur might find useful.
