This past weekend was the BlogHer conference in San Francisco. It was awesome and overwhelming all at the same time. Imagine it, 1000 women bloggers all in one location mixing and mingling. I was so busy, trying to absorb it all, that I never really got around to pulling out the camera (except to shoot the bag I won at the closing party over at Macy’s).
I also picked up a Flip camcorder before heading out. My goal was to stop various bloggers and ask them some basic questions to share with you guys here. But really, there was so much going on I never got around to doing that either. I did pull it out during the Entrepreneur Breakout Session with Patricia Handschiegel formerly of StyleDiary.net (currently Style Hive, a fashionista’s mecca).
This is the second time I’ve heard Patricia talk about being a female in the male-dominated Silicon Valley – the first being at the Ladies Who Launch Live event back in late May. She’s got some great insight into how to be heard and to make a name for yourself and your business. I love that she’s honest with both her successes and her failures.
Check out the video below. It’s about 10 minutes long and a couple minutes in I just let the camera face up to the ceiling instead of trying to hold it still the whole time. There’s some good info on there about being a female entrepreneur.
